Terms of Service

  • Please read all of the terms and conditions before completing the booking process:

    BOOKING:

    APPOINTMENT AVAILABILITY IS ALSO SUBJECT TO THE STUDIO’S AVAILABILITY! This means that we have to confirm the date and time requested with the Recording Studio before we can reserve your appointment with us (Business). You will be asked to have a card on file upon booking. A deposit of 50% of the total service cost is required to book and reserve your appointment. You WILL be charged the 50% deposit IF we were able to successfully reserve the selected date and time with the Recording Studio. ONCE YOU ARE CHARGED, your appointment with us (Business) is OFFICIALLY RESERVED in the calendar. Any remaining balance will be due at the end of the session, unless another agreement was discussed ahead of time. If the requested date and time is not available with the Recording Studio, we (Business) will cancel your appointment without charging the card on file. Since we freelance out of different studios, you will be given the chosen location’s studio address on the booking confirmation page and/or confirmation email.

    PAYMENT:

    A valid card is required to book services. We accept payments via Square (Cards, booking/payment links, QR code link), Cash, and Zelle.

    CANCELLATIONS:

    If you need to cancel a recording session, you must do so NO LESS THAN 48 hours before the booked session time. The scheduling tool DOES NOT let clients cancel on their own less than 48 hours prior, so if you need to cancel, you MUST reach out to the business to cancel the appointment. A cancellation less than 48 hours before the session time will result in a cancellation fee equal to the full amount of the booked session time or forfeit of the deposit. There are no refunds for canceled appointments, even if the appointment was canceled before the 48 hour deadline. Payments made at the time of booking will remain as a credit on file for one year.

    RESCHEDULES:

    The scheduling tool DOES NOT let clients reschedule on their own less than 48 hours prior, so if you need to reschedule, you MUST reach out to the business to reschedule the appointment. Reschedules are allowed ONE TIME. Any additional reschedules after the initial change will result in a forfeit of the deposit/prepayment. There are no refunds for rescheduled appointments, even if the appointment was rescheduled before the 48 hour deadline. Payments made at the time of booking will remain as a credit on file for one year.

    MISSED APPOINTMENTS:

    A “missed appointment” is an occurrence where someone does not show up for an appointment and does not cancel the appointment in advance of the scheduled date and time. If you do not show up for your appointment and you do not cancel the appointment at least 48 hours in advance, we will record this as a “missed appointment” and will result in a missed appointment fee equal to the total amount of the scheduled studio time or a forfeit of deposit/prepayment.

    SESSION:

    Your Recording Session begins at the scheduled time. If you are late, you will be running in to your booked time and that lost time will not be made up. Keep in mind, if we are recording other instruments (i.e drums, guitar, piano, etc), the time needed to set up the gear we will use has to be taken into consideration. This is why it’s important to be as detailed as possible when leaving notes during the booking process so we can do our best to have everything set up beforehand, or as quickly as possible. If we have to take time setting up equipment due to lack of information during the booking process, that time will not be made up and will count toward the session. Sessions that run over the scheduled time will be billed at the regular hourly rate, assuming studio and engineer availability.

    FILES:

    Session files will be handed over just before, at the end of, or after the session once the final Recording Session balance has been paid. This will be easier if clients bring their own hard drive for file transfer. Sending files over email, cloud, or airdrop may take time and will count toward Session time and will be billed.

    GUESTS:

    Different recording studios have different policies on the amount of guests that are allowed in Recording Sessions. For this reason, we ask that if you are thinking of bringing guests, please mention so in the notes of the booking, so we can let you know if that’s ok with the recording studio. Remember, you’re paying for the time booked, regardless if work gets done or not. Keep this in mind when bringing guests or friends along to your session. We’re there to have fun, but also to be professional and work!

    BOOKING:

    BOOKING SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY. No deposit is required to book and reserve your service appointment, however, you DO need to have a valid card linked to your booking. The reason why will be explained in the “Payment” section below. You have the option to pay the total service cost in full at the time of booking. Although you are booking for a Mix Package service, YOU WILL NOT be meeting physically for this “appointment”. THE DATE SELECTED FOR THE BOOKING IS TO BE CONSIDERED AS THE DUE DATE FOR THE FIRST MIX VERSION. THE CLIENT HAS 48 HOURS TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE BUSINESS IF ANY REVISIONS NEED TO BE MADE OR ELSE THE MIX WILL BE CONSIDERED AS APPROVED AND THE CLIENT WILL BE CHARGED IN FULL, FORFEITING ALL REVISIONS! Booking and duration time shown is STRICTLY for internal purposes only and helps the business stay organized. THIS IS NOT A PHYSICAL APPOINTMENT, IT IS A REMOTE SERVICE. Additional mix revisions and mix alts can be invoiced together with the original booking or separately afterward, if desired.

    PAYMENT:

    A valid card is required to book mixing services. We accept payments via Square (Cards, booking/payment links, QR code link) and Zelle. The reason why a valid card is required even though a deposit isn’t required at booking time is because payment will take place upon client approval of the mix or until we use all revisions included in the Mix Packages (whichever comes first), as outlined in the service descriptions. The valid card used to book the service is the one that will be charged at that time, no exceptions. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR CANCELLATIONS ONCE SERVICES HAVE BEEN RENDERED, ESPECIALLY IN SITUATIONS WHERE MIXES ARE RENDERED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE!

    CANCELLATIONS:

    If you no longer wish to have a mix service, you should be able to cancel anytime before your selected date. There won’t be any refunds for bookings with no prepayments. Any prepaid payments will be refunded. NO REFUNDS FOR CANCELLATIONS ONCE SERVICES HAVE BEEN RENDERED, ESPECIALLY IN SITUATIONS WHERE MIXES ARE RENDERED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE!

    RESCHEDULES:

    Rescheduling would make sense if for some reason, you needed more time to gather the necessary files, or if you aren’t ready after all to receive a mix service, for example. Any payments made at the time of booking will be held as a credit on file for a year, unless you wanted to cancel, in which case the payment would be refunded to you ASSUMING NO SERVICES HAVE BEEN RENDERED

    ABOUT THE SERVICE:

    Once the service is booked, you will get more information on where to send your files for the Mix Service. The idea is that the date selected for the booking is to be considered as a due date for the first version of the mix. Estimated turnaround time is about 1.5 - 2 weeks, but it can possibly be sooner, which is why clients can book no earlier than 1 week out for this service. PLEASE SEND FILES IN A TIMELY MANNER. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY DELAY THE DELIVERY OF THE MIX AND THE BUSINESS HAS A RIGHT TO CANCEL/RESCHEDULE BOOKINGS IF IT ENDS UP INTERFERING WITH THEIR AVAILABILITY. CANCELATION/RESCHEDULE POLICY WOULD APPLY. Express turnaround is an option, and clients that are in need of this express service can reach out for a quote. The cost for express turnaround is anywhere from 125%-200% of the regular service rate depending on many factors, such as proposed due date, if the business has to double book, etc. After the first mix is delivered, the client can either approve the mix, resulting in a charge of the card on file. If the client wishes to ask for a revision, the client is to make that known, with a description of the changes to be made, within 48 hours. Failure to request a revision within 48 hours will result in the mix to be considered approved and client will be charged in full, forfeiting all revisions. Additional mix revisions and mix alts can be added on and invoiced with the original booking or invoiced afterward.

    FILES:

    Files are to be sent to the email provided in the confirmation email and on the confirmation page. Files/stems/multitracks are to be NAMED BY TYPE (i.e vocals, drums, kick, snare, keys, etc), and properly bounced so that everything plays when it’s supposed to after dragging the files to the start of the session. WE WILL NOT BEGIN THE MIX UNTIL WE RECEIVE ALL FILES/STEMS/MULTITRACKS THIS WAY. Not having them properly named and bounced will waste the business’ time having to figure everything out and is not a professional way to conduct business. Please set things up properly to help us make this as smooth as possible. Everybody wins. YouTube has great videos on how to properly bounce stems for each DAW.
